I really had faith in Dr. Carlson after researching him online. However this last year I have lost all faith in his ability to provide adequate time and follow up to his patients. Not sure if he is just simply too busy to return calls from his patients and their family but it is unacceptable to be waiting weeks to hear back from him if he calls back at all for that matter. Very disappointed with the lack of importance and attention displayed.
Dr. William Carlson is one of the finest doctors that I have ever encountered.In addition to his obvious medical skills, he is a gifted "listener" to his patients. I am a sixty nine year old man who has undergone open heart surgery at Mass General. My wife and I will be forever grateful to him for his guidance and personal concern in helping me live a longer life.
There aren't nearly enough stars in the sky to adequately praise Dr. Carlson. Just got my second stent and the process was flawless and (nearly) painless. The Cardio Cath team at MGH deserve super high praise as well. We live on Cape Cod and probably drive (in the world's worst traffic) past a dozen hospitals to get to Dr Carlson and MGH. It's' a very small price to pay for this world-class doctor.
