Long over do review. While my wife was still pregnant, our daughter was diagnosed with ASD/VSD, coarctation, and mitral valve regurgitation. After lengthy research we decided on Dr Amani and his team at BCH. We moved up to Boston from DC and had the birth and then she had a series of 3 surgeries the first week of her life. Dr Amani was phenomenal. He worked for 3 days to repair her badly deformed leaflets of her mitral valve. He is one of a handful of surgeons in the world that could have done it. I'm happy to say our daughter is now 2 1/2 and happy and healthy.

This review is long overdue. Dr. Emani treated my daughter 3 years ago and we had her final check up with her cardiologist last week. We are beyond pleased that she has healed very well and needs no further follow ups for her heart. My daughter was diagnosed with an Atrial Septal Defect when she was 2 years old. Her heart was so enlarged that we could visbily see her chest bulging on one side. We did a ton of research, met doctors and finally flew to Boston from Atlanta to have her heart fixed by Dr. Emani. I was a little anxious in the beginning since it would be our first meeting with Dr.Emani (we had spoken to him over phone previously) and I desperately wanted to be reassured that we had chosen the right surgeon for her. By the time we finished our initial pre -op check I was smiling on the inside. I knew my daughter was in safe hands. Dr.Emani took the time to get to know Alisha, made her feel special, listened to our concerns sincerely and valued them, was patient and truly made us feel like we were not another name on his to do list. He genuinely cared for us and that made a huge difference. I personally was worried about scaring among other concerns, given that she is a girl and did not want her to battle unnecessary issues with self image growing up. Three years later she has the shortest of scars which is barely even visible now. There were a few more concerns that we had discussed with him with regards to the surgery, and we were surprised that Dr. Emani kept all of those in mind while he operated on her and accommodated them. We could not have chosen a better surgeon to work on our daughter's heart. We will always remember him with fondness and gratitude. Today she has a healthy attitude towards hospitals and doctors and has good memories of our 3 days at Boston, all thanks to him. I would gladly and whole heartedly recommend Dr. Emani to everyone. You cannot go wrong with him. He is certainly one of the best!

Long overdue review, our son was diagnosed with TOF during my pregnancy. Dr. Emani performed the repair when our son was only 1 week old, he's now 3 years old and thriving!! Can not recommend Dr. Emani enough!!

Dr. Emani is an absolute rock star in the operating room. I can't even begin to say how professional and friendly he and his staff were. Dr. Emani is a world class surgeon. Its been exactly two months since I had open heart surgery, and it almost feels as if I never had an operation. It was all just a dream. If your child or anyone you know needs cardiac surgery, please give Boston Children's Hospital a call and request Dr. Sitaram Emani.

What an "awesome Surgeon". Dr Emani replaced my valve and he did an amazing job, he's a great Surgeon, very personable and friendly. I would highly recommend to other families, he's the best of the best, in my opinion, and he deserves beyond 5 stars.
