After not responding to blood thinners and having had to cancel three scheduled cardiac ablations, I requested an interview with Dr. Mansour in Boston, a specialist in A-fib. Dr. Mansour was highly recommended by other cardiologists. I thought that it would take a long time to get an appointment with him but to my surprise, he was able to see me within two weeks. During the appointment he recommended installing the Watchman device. The procedure was scheduled within a couple of weeks. It went very smoothly because he and his team are experts and specialize in this innovative procedure. The spot where the incision was made healed very quickly. I was also pleasantly surprised how quickly I recovered from the procedure as I was able to return to work four days later.

He may be a decent surgeon but lacks significantly in being a decent doctor. He was on call for my doctor and was suppose to examine me at the hospital, as I was having some issues post medical procedure. He was paged three times over a period of two hours before calling back. He wouldn't let me speak, he was impatient and arrogant. Did not care at all about my condition.
My otherwise experience at MGH and with my doctor was excellent up until my interaction with Dr. Mansour. There are many excellent doctors in Boston who are also caring, professional and considerate, Dr. Mansour is not one of them.
