The worst doctor I have ever seen and I have gone to many doctors. I haven't had many negative experiences at Cooley. Most doctors and nurses are very nice. Dr. Arcoleo has the worst bedside manner. He is disrespectful and dismissive. I was specifically referred to him for low blood pressure. At our first appointment, he walked into the room, put his hand on my shoulder while I, a female, was half naked in a front open paper gown after doing a EKG, and asked why I had come in... I said one brief sentence and he turned his back to me, walked toward the wall, and said "You know the best thing you could do is to lose some weight. Autonomic dysfunction is very rare, so we don't need to do testing." Rare means rare, not never. And it actually isn't rare. Multiple people in my family are diagnosed with it. He was in the room for a total of 3 minutes and the 3 minutes were still a waste of time. I timed it on my watch. My PCP sent me to him for low blood pressure, vertigo, lightheadedness, facial flushing, hot flashes, intense nausea, and several other symptoms. He wrote in his note that I am morbidly obese and have "high blood pressure." I have low blood pressure despite being "morbidly obese" (thanks for your great listening skills, Arcoleo). I had to call to get his note corrected as I've never had high blood pressure a day in my life. Thank you for making my already difficult medical life more difficult. I've never had such little respect for a doctor. You should be ashamed of yourself for so many reasons.
