My mother had an myxoma in her hart founded accidentlty. She had no symptom. This doctor preform minmally invasive surgery on her at the end of Sep 2025. they didn't informed us that there is risk of stroke. I noticed the day after surgery she cant move her right side While she was in ICU. They airlifted her to DC for a surgery to see if they can rich the blood clot. this were not completed because the blood clot was moved too high in brain. she is been struggle with strok. lost movement on right side and she cant communicate. (lost speech). i am trying to inform the future patient about that risk of strok when they go through this minumal invasive surgery. I feel if i would been informed possiblity of stroke we may have not gone through this proccedure. I feel that the office didnt care about patient. they never contacted us to see what happen to the patient that they did surgery. As per doctor : this was mimual invasive surgery and we do this so many time. no worries. I wonder how many patient got perminent disability? I wouldnt recomend anyone to this office.

Dr.Massimiano is a miracle worker. My husband had an atrial septal defect that made his heart succumb to right ventricular hypertrophy. He was tired, and did not enjoy the constant fear of cryptogenic strokes. Today is approximately 4 months post surgery. My husband is able to resume his normal active lifestyle and more. He is more happy and the fear of heart failure is no more. Dr.Massimiano is caring and dedicated. He is knowledgeable and very informative. He is a top-top surgeon and deserves the highest of praise. Thank you Doctor! We owe our family's prolonged happiness to you.

Dr Paul Massimiano is an excellent cardiac surgeon . Before my open heart surgery for mitral valve prolapse and coronary bypass I could only walk one block with significant shortness of breath . Six weeks after surgery I could walk 4 miles without any symptoms . I am truly grateful to have had Dr Massimiano perform my surgery . He is an elite surgeon and a specialist in mitral valve dysfunctions .
