I was referred by another specialty physician for a cardiac work up. Dr. Barnstein asked why I was there since it didn't seem I had any issues. I said my condition makes me 10 times more likely to have serious cardiac issues and it's the leading cause of death for this chronic disease. His response was "everyone dies of something". All of this was said very condescendingly to me. I felt he didn't listen to me at all and rushed me through. I haven't been back to the practice and found a cardiologist who listens and treats patients with respect.

Cannot do adequate assessment of heart & lung sounds with medical glove overtop of his stethoscope which impedes hearing these sounds. Only leaves stethoscope on for 1-2 seconds. Not familiar with latest 2017 American Heart Association Blood Pressure Norms, & says 130 is perfectly fine. Just not happy with this doctor.

I had to switch to a better cardiologist as Mr. Bernstein isn't a good doctor. he doesn't take the time to listen to his patient concerns.
