MedStar Health: Cardiology Associates at Olney

Overall I have to say that Medstart Cardiology Associates is a practice in trouble. While individual practiconers are very good to exelent, the administration is terrible. They never answer the phone when you need to make an appointment or need a prescription refilled. My pharmacy and I have been trying to get a prescription renewal for three weeks with both sending three seperate requests before they sent the script. I have to go to the office to make an appointment because they phone always rolls over to the hospital general number.

Check-in was quick. I was called back a couple of minutes before my appointment time. Dr. Jean was attentive, personable, patient, and a good listener. She took time to answer all my questions and did not rush me.

A mixup in my understanding of scheduled appointments resulted in my coming in first thing in the morning. But the wonderful person on the front desk organized everything and the doctor accommodated a full change in his schedule so they took me almost immediately, and I was out quickly and with all done. I much appreciated their flexibility.

My visit to doctor Snyder's office went very well other than an hour. Wait after my appointment, and another 30 minutes or so wait to see the Dr. but Dr. Shnider is always very cordial, informative and professional in his evaluation and diagnosis, however, what I would like to bring to your attention is the upkeep of the operatorys. Whoever your maintenance people are, they need to be replaced. The room was very unkempt splatters, blood Hair Dirt on furniture and floors.It's indicative that the operators were very not well cleaned. This was very discomforting for me. A doctor's office should be clean and disinfected for each patient being seen in that particular exam room.

Dr Gould was terrific. However the check in process is terrible. Very long input process. 1. Receptionist very polite gave her insurance cards & drivers license. 2. Computer input. Extremely long &. cumbersome. Much duplication-similar to receptionist. Specifically insurance & identity cards. Receptionist has same info. Chairs are a must & some privacy. If I really didn't need to go there, I was ready to walk out!!
