Dr. Ahmad Laeeq

Dr. Ahmed failed to provide timely and effective support to my father, a chronic dialysis dependent diabetic who presented with a wounded toe. Despite repeated complaints of pain, discoloration and odor, Dr. Ahmed failed to return my and my father's increasingly urgent calls and emails and ultimately referred my dad to another physician on a non-urgent basis. Two days before my dad was able to get an appointment with the new doctor, my father was rushed to the hospital with gangrene in two of his toes that had entered his blood stream. He underwent an emergency below that knee amputation.

Besides the point of my mother scheduled for a major surgery procedure this Wednesday. She was discharged from the Hospital over a week ago and has been in severe pain since. She has been calling since then leaving messages and no call back. I decided to try to call myself today as it's upsetting to see and hear my mom in severe pain and numbness of her leg. I've called 26 times today alone and either my call says "failed" or it doesn't go through!!! This is very upsetting and disturbing!!! I wish there was an option for NO STARS!!! Some Doctors are just out for the title and money and in this case this is what it seems. I was a bit hesitant to make a review before her scheduled surgery. I will definitely be looking into other options as well. This is insane!!!

I didnt want to give any stars but wouldnt let me post with out any. This Drs. Office Assistant Karen in Greenbelt is horrible. As long as she is there I will not ever return to his office or refer anyone. Ive only been to the office myself one time and thats all it took. Karen is very rude and does not know how to talk to people. I had a Fistcula done by Dr. Ahmad that I am very unsatisified with and will be following up with another doctor because of my unsatisfaction with the incision. When I called to cancel my follow up appointment I had to deal with Karen again and once again she was rude, told me I cant cancel my appointment and told me I can not go to any other doctor for a follow up. Last time I looked I live in America and I am FREE to go to what ever doctor I choose!!!! And when I expressed my feelings about this doctors office to hospital staff when I was getting my surgery and everyone knew who I was talking about. I just dont understand how Dr. Ahmad doesnt see that her attitude is effecting his practice.

If giving NO STAR was an option I would be so happy because that would be my choice to describe my experience at this doctors office. My mother was reffered by her kidney specialist to Dr. Ahmad to get evaluated for her fistula. From the very first and only visit we went to the receptionist or whatever her job description is Karen was very rude and her attitude was very snotty. She treated me like I was beneath her and felt the need to question me as if I were her child. I let that experience go and just thought maybe she was having a bad day. A few days later the hospital called to make arrangements for my mom to go in and get her ultra sound done. I was informed that we needed to get a cardio convent first before we could proceed with anything regarding the fistula and that is what I told the lady from the hospital. She then advised she will call Dr. Ahmad's office and have Karen call back to help us better understand. She calls the next day and is very rude and nasty. First thing she says to me is "didn't I tell you someone was going to call to schedule for the fistula. I told you she was going to call. What is it that you don't understand". Very rude. I said "well it must have been a misunderstanding I was under the impression we needed to get the concept before we do anything that concerns the surgery". She then says "well it all needs to be done, so just get it done". Again VERY RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL. That was the second incident. This third and final incident that I will deal with was this Monday August 1, 2016 when I called to get more information about the surgery my mom is scheduled for. My emergency contact called me and advised the dr office called her to inform of the surgery on next Monday. Wondering why the numbers on file were not called I advised I would call and gain clarity. I called and first of all she answers the phone with no interests (doctors office) okay does the doctor have a name? Could you say good morning/good afternoon? Second, I acknowledge who I am and she goes right in and starts disrespecting me by yelling at me saying I did not put the correct contact information and the where unable to contact (which by the way is not true. Both numbers on file are very active and no calls or messages where left on either machine). She preceded to question me again like I was her child and continued to elevate her voice to a point we began to argue. I after 3 mins of going back and forth cut her off and said "look I am just trying to get information on a surgery my mother is scheduled for I don't have time to argue with you. Do you think you can handle that?" She then gives me the information, quickly, and hangs up the phone. I go to the office one to check the information on the registration form and two to confront her and ask her what the hell is her problem. She was not in the office when I got there. I corrected the paperwork and added more numbers for contact and as I'm doing so she walks in. Luckily for her the other two ladies that where there indirectly calmed me down because she was definitely in for a rude awakening. So she comes in and still continues to question me. I continued to fill out the paperwork and said "obviously it was a mistake with the contact information" she then goes to the sink washed her hands and sits her ass down with an attitude. I finished and said to the two other ladies "thank you for being such a great help" and walked out. Dr. Ahmad needs to GET RID OF HER because she has NO PEOPLE SKILLS and is very RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL. SUCH BAD SERVICE and the WORST EXPERIENCE ever.

Dr Ahmad did an endarterectomy for me five years ago. the operation was a complete success, even though I was 80 at the time. I think he's an excellent surgeon.
