First Medical Associates -Rakesh Malik, M.D.

Dr. Malik is absolutely the best doctor out there. He always greets you with a smile, pays attention to the patient's needs and has the uncanny ability to diagnose and treat you properly. My entire family uses Dr. Malik now. He is certainly a healer and I would recommend him very highly!

I was very much looking forward to meet Dr. Malik as my new PCP after reading the positive comments online (though most wete quite old). What a disappointment! I was deeply taken aback by the lack of empathy extended toward me by Dr. Malik. I sought out his assistance on a recurring health problem. He looked at me and quickly brushed my concerns aside stating I was too young (i am middle-aged, nkt that young any more, ironically). When I asked for a scan having had the issues for a long time, he asked me how I would use the information. I mean what the heck? I am sorry, but what a disrespectful way to treat a patient! Can you imagine that your PCP does this, that you are told, by your PCP, that your health concerns that flare up are nothing--and you pay for this? Then, there are all these overwhelming amount of follow-ups and reminders to book me for all types of appointments, none of which I ever requested. Please stop! Your messages informing me that "Dr. Malik selected you to do... (fill in whatever test they want to sell that day" is just not right, especially after the lack of care demonstrated in person. This all seems like a concerted effort to make money by filling spots (appointments), rather than looking out for the patient. No, thank you. After this bismal experience, I hope to never see him again. I may have met him on his bad day, as I genuinely do not understand the positive comments online; I had none of the positive experiences, except for the staff being friendly and efficient. Having been treated like this, I would not consider giving a second shot. As a doctor myself, this was a highly unprofessional behavior toward a potential new patient. I hope he will read this and revise his approach to treating patients with health issues. People see PCPs usually when they are in need of assistance, not to chit-chat. It seems others have had a far more positive experience, albeit quite a while ago based on the posts.

Dr. Malik is a top-notch doctor! He has always provided the absolute best care, and I believe, best advice and treatment during every visit. His demeanor and bed-side manner is positive, thorough, attentive, caring, and personal. His office and professionalism is second to none! Thank you, Doctors First!

They are quick, friendly, on time, and available when I need them. Dr. Malik listens and really tries to help me be healthier and find solutions to whatever is bothering me. I appreciate him trying to make my life better, not just telling me "that's the way some people are," as a former doctor had remarked about my chronically croaky voice. Dr. Malik cares for his patients.

Dr. Malik has been my PCP for 8+ years and during the course of time i have found him to be a great medical professional; he pays great attention to details and his diagnosis has been spot on every time i have been to his practice. He has very friendly personality and good practice environment.
