I can't say enough good stuff about this practice . Since day 1 they have been excellent. I see Dr. Maghal she is so kind and caring. She is easy to talk to and never makes me feel uncomfortable. The office staff are like a well oiled machine. They all are amazing in a busy environment dealing with all kinds of different people and situations. I have never had a bad experience there. The waiting area is clean and has ample amount of seating. Exam rooms are all well maintained. As an added bonus they have plenty of parking.

If you book with them expect to not be seen at the scheduled appointment time. I've used this office for over a year and not once has a provider been on time for an appointment. Sometimes upwards of 30 minutes late. Edit from 2 stars to 1 as Ms. Maghal was just 37 minutes late to a *virtual* appointment.

I've only been seeing them for about a year but so far I've been very satisfied they are on time when you go in and I see a nurse practitioner there who is very sweet. Her name is Lori. They can usually see me as soon as I call them same day, not a problem. I switched from another doctor in Urbana because every time I go there there's different doctors so far this place I've been able to see the same person which is very important to me.

I had an incredibly frustrating experience with this healthcare provider. As a first-time patient, I was charged for a physical without any prior notice that they have a policy of billing new patients for this service. Instead of being upfront about the cost, they simply sent me a bill after the fact, which felt deceptive and unfair. To make matters worse, when I reached out to address the issue, the manager was shockingly rude and dismissive, offering no resolution or empathy. I strongly recommend steering clear of this place--hidden fees and terrible customer service are a recipe for a horrible experience. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else!

Patient

I have been a patient of Dr. Praveen Bolarum since 2007. I left a 5 star review of him & his staff a year ago that was great. Well, things change. I walked in his office on 1/11/23 to get a referal to a specialist. While I was at the front desk speaking with the receptionist I asked her if I could use the restroom and she stood up and pointed to the office across the hall and said go ask them for the restroom key to the bathroom in the hallway. I looked at her as if she was mistakenly speaking to someone else and said you do realize I am patient of Dr. Bolarum's, not the Dr across the hall? Anyway, I did what she said and the receptionist in the Dr's office across the hall said exactly what I thought she would. Sir, you should be using your Dr's office bathroom or they should give you a key to the bathroom in the hallway. So I go back to Dr. Bolarum's office and demand to use the bathroom. Mind you, all of my paperwork is still on the counter at the receptionist desk. The young lady tells me to go ahead and use the bathroom but she's holding her head down as if she's ashamed. After I use the restroom I ask for the office mgr who by the way was standing right there the whole time. Rupa Jain/office mgr came from around the desk and stated that their restroom was possibly out of order and they did not have a key for the hallway restroom which is why I was told to go the the office across the hall. I didn't except that sorry excuse of her's but I had business to accomplish and I knew it would be best to come back after i got my referal and took it to the specialist so that I could get an apointment. Once I did that, I came back to Dr. Bolarum's office that evening and discuss this matter the right way, which is what I did. I asked Rupa Jain if she would have told the white lady standing next to me to go across the hall and right away she got angry and stated this has nothing to do with race. I said if it didn't then why did she tell her staff that no african americans could use the restroom? What she and the other white nurse practitioner whose name is Natalie Lowrey is that I've been a patient of this Dr's office since 2007 and most of the people that work there all really great people that I've known for years who lie me and would make sure that I knew what the real reason was. Rupa and Natalie would not give me their names and even called the police on me after I came back peacefully and spoke with them in a very nice tone...they got mad and Karen like and told the police I threatened them so I waited for the police who later laughed and agreed with me. Dr. Bolarum, I hold you completely responsible for these two racist employees you have running your office. And to the young lady who was forced by Rupa to tell african american's only that they have to use the restroom in the hallway but have to get the key from the Dr's across the hall, I am sorry that I made you cry by telling you that you that what you did was unacceptable and it better never happen again. I apologize to you only because I was made aware of you being forced to do this. Dr. Bolarum, I have been your patient since 2007 and have always respected your staff, and have always received the same, however I blame you because attitude reflects leadership, and if you have an office mgr that is that rude and has a blanket policy for only african american's, the only way you can fix this is by removing Rupa Jain and Natalie Lowrey. I would have never found out the names of the racist staff members or the policy they have implemented were it not for the caring office staff members that are really against this type of negative energy that you allow into your office. And yes, I have changed my primary because of the two Karens running your office now. I also added their photo's so that the entire world knows who they are.
