Frederick Health Hospital Emergency Department

It took three visits in 48 hours to see a doctor to perform a fairly standard procedure on me. They finally got it done. I am thankful they did, and the staff were nice. But this place is under staffed, doesn't have capacity, doesn't have parking, and is neglected probably because it's not a high profit thing for hospitals. Fredrick needs better emergency room care for us citizens than what they offer.

If I could give it zero stars I would !! The worst hospital take there sweet time with everything. From the moment I walked in I already knew I wasn't going to be seen immediately they walk around here like there is no emergency when this is the freaking hospital. They take you quick for vitals then after that your screwed your waiting here for HOURS ! It's a total nightmare. When I got my blood drawn one of the nurses said there just having anybody get there blood drawn tonight I was completely taken by this because this is a job you chose!! I was utterly disgusted and completely taken back by her demeanor. I finally got taken back to a room to be seen with a doctor and that sat me right in ground of the nurses station and all you are hearing is them talking about patients and how a patient was grinding his teeth because he was in pain and the nurse said that it was so cringe and it made her upset !!! He is in the ER because he is in pain !!! I can't believe these people we come here to trust you to take care of us and us being in pain is cringe to you I am absolutely devastated and disappointed by this facility. DO NOT COME HERE!! side note because I just remembered there was a older gentleman who came in with his head split open which was bleeding at the top as if he fell he was sitting in the waiting room for 1 1/2 hours before someone came and helped him. Please these people don't care about there patients they only care about there money. I'm upset that my insurance sends me here whenever I have problems. This place is disgusting. 0 stars DO NOT RECOMMEND!! Save your time and your hard working money !!

I see a lot of negative reviews and wanted to take the time to share my positive experience... I recently visited Frederick Hospital ER for dizziness and chest pains, and I was very pleased with the care I received. From the start, Nurse Regina was outstanding -- warm, efficient, and professional. She had me set up for testing within 30 minutes, which helped ease my anxiety. The nurse practitioner was thorough and explained that my initial test results looked normal but recommended repeating some tests just to be safe. I appreciated the cautious approach, though I felt comfortable declining and chose to be discharged. The team respected my decision and had me on my way within half an hour. Overall, the experience was smooth, respectful, and reassuring. I felt well cared for and am grateful to the staff for their professionalism and kindness. Thank you to the ER team at Frederick Hospital for being attentive and compassionate during a stressful time.

Some nurses are absolutely not qualified to be there. In the begining I had horrible experience in the ER. If they just did their job I could have been helped hours earlier.. But when I got up to a room my nurses and doctors were extremely kind. Food is hit or miss, and it tastes very similar to what you're served in the public school system. Tip, order a side salad so you know you'll have something fresh. Would much rather travel to Rockville shady grove hospital, but can't really choose when you're in an emergency.

This was my first visit to Frederick Health Hospital, and I'll admit I was nervous after reading some reviews. That's why I want to share how positive my experience actually was. Even though I waited about two hours in the ER while in pain, the care I received made it worth it. From triage to discharge, every staff member I met was kind, professional, and attentive. Despite being alone, I felt supported--nurses kept me informed, made conversation, and never made me feel like a burden. I stayed in observation for almost 48 hours, and that same level of care continued throughout. The food was surprisingly good, the doctors were thorough, and the nurses were consistently thoughtful--asking smart follow-up questions and truly listening. One nurse was a bit short one night, but overall, the team's warmth and compassion really stood out. After visiting several hospitals in the DMV, this was the first time I left feeling both cared for and emotionally at ease. Thank you to the Frederick Health team--I'll be recommending you to anyone who's hesitant like I was.
