Dr. Michael W. Levangie, MD

I've been seeing Dr. Levangie and I would recommend! I've been able to get the checks I need, the medication I need, and I have always been able to call for explanations or prescription requests. Tiffany at the front desk is also great to work with, she makes all processes quick, fun, and easy! There is almost always a wait past your appointment time, but just plan your day around it. I think it's worth it to see a great cardiologist!

I have been a patient of Dr. Levangie for 8 years and like a lot of other reviewers I have mixed feelings about this doctor/practice. I recently missed my yearly check up due to COVID and received letters from the office stating it was important to reschedule for my health. I contacted the office to reschedule and as always I am told Dr. Levangie is booked several weeks out and the earliest appointment would be April 8, that is over a month. I find not only do I have to wait over a month each time I schedule but also, there have been multiple times when they have cancelled my appointment; then when I reschedule they like to remind me I missed my last appointment, which then I have to remind them they cancelled the appointment. Years ago I went to another cardiologist in Frederick but the wait time was always over 1.5 hours before I would be seen. When I switched to Dr. Levangie I informed them of why I was making the change due to the wait times. My first appointment I was taken almost immediately, all appointments thereafter, I have waited for over an hour to be seen with no explanation from the staff for the wait time. When I questioned them about this,, their response is " the doctor spends a lot of time with his patients". I can appreciate this explanation but I think then the appointments should be scheduled accordingly. Lastly, Dr. Levangie seems to be a good doctor, however at each of my appointments instead of talking about me and my health, it is instead a social hour on his part. I end up having to inform him about how I have been feeling and my health and asking questions about my health. This is quite irritating for me, where I think it is good "bedside manner" to get to know your patients, I think it is more important to give them an update o their health.

I am soooo tired of waiting and waiting and waiting every single time I take my 87 year old mother here for her appointments. It's gotten worse over the years. Today, we are sitting here an hour and 45 minutes after her scheduled time and she has yet to go back! Ridiculous!! She likes Levangie but I may have to overrule that and find someone else, as this is my life and time too being wasted.

Excellent and caring Dr. Really understands his craft. Very personable. Only issue is can get behind on patients so get early appointment or call in before arriving to see how delayed the schedule might be.

Dr. Michael levangie is the top cardiologist in the area of Frederick md in my book. He's caring, educated and professional. He finds a wrong if there is a wrong in the cardiovascular area. In 2014 he found a very complex issues with my heart. He did a stress test and called surgeons immediately. I wanted to run and get out of office out of fear. He talked to me like his own child. He was like a psychiatrist and cardiologist. His office staff took me to hospital in their own vehicle out of concern. If you see Dr Levangie just mention baseball. He will open up like a flower. He loves baseball. I recommend anyone needing a cardiologist to see Dr. Michael Levangie. He's great.
