CVCA Cardiac Care For Pets

Everything about this practice was a pleasant experience even though the reason for being there was stressful. The person scheduling the appointment was warm & friendly and offered a same day appointment to fill a cancellation. The facility was clean and up to date. There was a welcome sign welcoming my dog when checking in. During the initial exam the table she was sitting on had a soft little rug so she was sliding around on a cold metal table . The room where they performed the echocardiogram gave the feeling your dog was going for a massage.. the lights were low, the room was quiet and warm and the table she was laying on was padded. The vets and tech treated my dog so well and answered my questions and helped me figure out how to move forward treating her. All these little touches that they do add up to a huge stress reducer for you and your pet. I highly recommend using them.

I have nothing but great things to say about CVCA in Frederick. My kitty, Cocomint, has had the best of care from the staff here on every visit so far. The entire staff are absolutely wonderful...kind, knowledgeable and friendly. On my most recent visit, we saw Dr. Julie Alsop. I was so impressed with her. She is thorough, extremely knowledgeable, very professional, and easy to communicate with. I loved how she talked through the actual ECG test. She explained what she was seeing, what we were looking at, and what we wanted to see in an understandable way. And, she also used helpful diagrams to explain the heart function. Excellent!

Lucy received excellent care and we were included in every step of the process. The doctor's explanations were clear and all our questions were answered. Each staff member understood Lucy's fears and treated her with love and kindness. The doctor's recommendations were reasonable and helpful. We received a follow up call the next day to assure that we understood everything. I highly recommend this facility.

First time experience with the facility under stressful times for fear of loosing our beloved Golden. The Dr and staff made us feel at home and comforted our fears. We would give them a higher rating if there was one. Hope to never need their services, but will definitely go back if we would need to and recommend them to anyone that needs their service.

I've had to take Storm to the Frederick location twice. Both times, the staff has been wonderful and has taken their time to explain what is going on with his heart, which is a little complicated. I've been in the veterinary business for 30 yrs, and their communication with me (usually by email with my questions) has been a rating of 10 stars, at least.....from always getting back to me the same day, to emailing reports to me & my primary care vet right away.
