Lucy B Kupersmith, MD, is a vascular surgeon with the MedStar Heart and Vascular Institute and MedStar Health Cardiology Associates. Dr Kupersmith works with a wide range of vascular diseases and other conditions. She performs many different types of arterial and venous vascular surgery procedures to treat her patients, including: open and endovascular treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysm, peripheral bypass surgery, endovascular limb salvage, dialysis access, lysis of pulmonary emboli, lysis of deep vein thrombosis, laser or sclerotherapy for the treatment of varicose veins, and carotid, femoral, or aortic endarterectomies.

This was the best place I've ever been. I actually understood what was going on with me. I've been in the dark since I got sick, which made me even more anxious. Dr. Kupersmith treated me like I was a family member. She really took her time with me. She explained everything that was done, would need to be done, and even walked me down the hall to where I needed to go next! I've never had a doctor like this. I highly recommend this doctor and this facility.
