My husband suffered a severe heart attack, but was saved through early intervention. After weeks of hospitalization and rehab, we arrived at Dr. Altschuler's office for urgent follow-up. We were then told that we had canceled our appointment of many weeks standing. We explained that was impossible, and that we had just traveled around 30 miles to see him, having planned the whole day around it. Dr. Altschuler had not yet left the office, but he refused to see my husband who had waited patiently in his wheelchair throughout this fiasco. I see the many accolades this man has received, but despite it all I remain unconvinced of his compassion.
