Jay Aaron Mazel, MD, is a cardiac electrophysiologist at MedStar Washington Hospital Center and MedStar Montgomery Medical Center, as well as the previous Director of the Electrophysiology Lab at Washington Hospital Center. Dr. Mazel implanted a pacemaker in me 10 years ago and today we had a consultation appointment for a replacement. Dr. Mazel explained the procedure and process in a reassuring manner. He makes you comfortable. While we different on the process we exchanged our opinions in a friendly manner. After he throughly explained his views, I was in agreement.
