About Dr. Ahmad Awan, MD
Dr. Awan, MD, FACC, FSCAI, RPVI received his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree from Army Medical College, Rawalpindi. He did his residency in Internal Medicine at Howard University Hospital, Washington DC. During his residency he was awarded "Outstanding Chief Resident" and "Most Valuable Resident" award. He subsequently completed a fellowship in Cardiovascular disease at the same institute where he was also the "Chief Fellow." Dr. Awan furthered his training in cardiology by doing his fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at the Montefiore Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, NY.
