A Shreveport native, Dr. Martin graduated from Calvary Baptist Academy and earned his medical degree from LSU Medical Center. He entered private practice in his hometown in 1996 and obtained board certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine, Adult Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society of Cardiac Angiography and Intervention. He is also a member of the American Heart Association, Louisiana State Medical Society and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. A deacon at Calvary Baptist Church, Dr. Martin is active in many of the church's ministries and the academy.

Very informational visit. Ask question to get to me . About my life what i did my family. Then explain everything about the different test he could run and which would give the best results. And lead him to what was wrong and how to fix it. Great bedside manor. Really compassinate. Would recomend Dr. Robert T Martin everytime for people seeking a Cardiologist

Wonderful care from Dr. Martin and the whole team. Amber was very attentive listening to us and really engaging in conversation. Explaining the process from start to finish. Dr. Martin thanked all of his co-workers for doing a great job. He could've turned and walked out. He didn't. And that means alot to me and im sure to all the Nurses.
Very professional and compassionate. Very through exam and Dr. Martin and Pam present treatment plan in a way that is comprehensible and easy to follow. Would highly recommend.
