About Dr. Robert Menuet, II, MD - Cardiovascular Institute of the South
Dr. Robert Menuet, a native of Thibodaux, Louisiana, serves as a staff cardiologist for Cardiovascular Institute of the South in Opelousas. In 2000, Dr. Menuet received his medical degree from Louisiana State University of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency in 2003 at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, and he completed his cardiology fellowship at Ochsner Clinic Foundation in New Orleans in 2006. Dr. Menuet is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular services. He is a member of the Louisiana State Medical Society and the American College of Cardiology. He also has hospital privileges throughout Opelousas and Lafayette.

He was treating my mom so I went to him. I went for a total of two or three visits and changed doctors. Everytime I went he wanted to give more more Medicine. I needed the problem fixed not medicated. He treated my mother for many years until Last year when she started having problems and same thing. Her blood pressure was so High and he gave her More medicine and sent her home. He should have sent her to admit. This went on for Months only to find out she had a blockage. He sent her elsewhere and she died On the table. Very unprofessional on his part. My mother should have been admitted mutiple times and instead he just sent her home.

Dr. Menuet treated my mother several years ago. Very polite,attentive,knowledgeable. Took time with her and I to explain her situation of health problems and sent her to the right specialist when her own primary Dr. kept procrastinating to do so.
