Several years ago, I saw Dr. Helmstetter for major stomach issues. He ran a multitude of tests that cost me a lot of money. In the end, his diagnosis was that I was "just weird." I left in pain and defeated. Not long after I found out that I'm gluten and lactose intolerant. Not once did he ask about my diet or even suggest that what was happening with me could be related to food. Needless to say I have NEVER been back.
