Dr. McDermott is the best doctor I have ever seen. I've been seeing her for around 8 years now. She listens to all of your concerns. She has guided me in a direction in my life to help me get physically and mentally back on track. There is no better doctor around that cares for her patients as she does. She will not prescribe you something you don't need, she will find the best solution to your problems to get you cued without making you jump through hoops. I was only a patient of Dr. McDermott for one pre surgery checkup three years ago. I was satisfied with her. I can see others are not so happy but I have to wonder what is going on sometimes. Doctors can't do the impossible, even if we ask them to. Modern medicine is very complex but as a three time cancer survivor I'm quite happy.

Gotta love a doctor who tells it like it is. Dr. McDermott is compassionate and CARES. Yeah, you may not always like being told you need to eat more leafy greens and walk more, but ugh, sometimes it's the basics. Have been going to Dr. McD for years and she continues to impress me with her dedication and enthusiasm for medicine. Make the drive to Chalmette for a breath of fresh air.
