Patient
Dr. Irfan tried to use scare-tactics and lies pressure my family into authorizing an unnecessary and dangerous vascular surgery (on a Saturday) for my father who has dementia and AFIB. My father is on blood-thinners and is a high stroke risk- he also has poor kidney function. Irfan claimed not to feel a pulse in the affected area, which was the justification for the surgery - the pulse had been verified by both a nurse and doctor each day (including that day) for several days. When our medical consultant (who is also a family member) challenged Dr. Irfan on this - he came back to the hospital room and - what do you know? - he magically could feel the pulse. I can't stress enough how dangerous it can be to perform a surgery on someone with this profile. It has now been almost a month and my father's condition has improved greatly and he is nearly fully recovered. I'm so grateful that we had a medical consultant looking out for our best interests and prevented this medical abuse. This was profiteering in its most deadly form. This man should have his license revoked.
