I apologize for the delay in getting this review posted to Google as my stay in the hospital was in early October.
I had taken the first round of a popular weight loss drug and understood the potential side effects. I'll just say I'm now in the 3% that cannot take it.
I began to experience side-effects that resulted in a trip to the ER. From there a follow-up visit to Murray Medical Associates and return to the ER for admission to the hospital.
From the very beginning my experience with the medical professionals at MCCH was outstanding. They were able to diagnosis and begin treatment of what could have been a very serious medical issue.
A I said, it started with a trip to the ER. Pardon me for not grabbing last names, but in the ER I was greeted by Scott, who has been a nurse there from a long time. He understands the mission and was great. Dr. G came in and explained everything going on. The CT Scan and Xray professionals were very competent and put me at ease. On the return trip, Ellisa, PA explained my treatment options and assisted in getting me to a room and the nurses that put in the NG tube (my least favorite part of the ordeal) did great with a not so willing patient.
At my initial and subsequent visits to Murray Medical Associates, I was taken care of by nurse Vicki (if you got to be jabbed, let her jab you!) and seen by Bobbi Anderson, ARNP and Chase McClard, PA-C, among others. They were professional and the quality of services from the front office to the exit door was exceptional.
Upon admission to the 4th floor, I received the best care possible. From the nursing staff, nurse's aides, housekeeping staff, Nurse Practitioners, and treating physician, I could not have had a better experience given the situation. Each one was professional, exhibited a great bedside manner, and knew what they were doing. You got the feeling that they were there for you. Not much more you can ask for. Again, if I miss any names, I apologize. The following nurses and nurse's aides took great care of me: (nurses) Amanda, Cecile, Robin, and Regina; (nurse's aides) Emma, Chad, Regina, and Jacie.
Thanks, again, for the professional, courteous, and qualified service provided to get me back on my feet!

I had the most amazing tech in radiology today. She was absolutely wonderful. She was kind, caring, and patient through the entire process. She explained everything, checked in with me often, and made sure I felt comfortable the whole time. She helped ease my anxiety. I'm so grateful for the compassionate care I received. It makes a huge difference when someone takes the time to care. Cathy Webb went above and beyond to take the time to make me feel comfortable. I appreciate her so very much.

I recently had a colonoscopy. It was my third and the best experience I've had so far. It was a much better experience than I had at a hospital a half hour away. The lady who checked me in was friendly and professional. And all of the nurses (Allie, Lynn, Josephine, and Carla) and the anesthesiologist (Andrew I believe) were wonderful. I had one large man who was an assistant in the OR (said he was there to change the pads etc) who was a bit rough in moving my body just before the anesthesia, but he was friendly. (Apparently I was being a bit slow to roll
onto my left side before the procedure).
Dr. Swain was competent and caring and I like that he lets you know right away after the procedure what he found (and then has you follow up with his assistant for lab results later). He mentioned during the pre-op meeting that he missed my Dad (who he treated and cared for with compassion and skill previously. I believe he helped my Dad live a longer better life). I certainly wish this was a procedure I didn't have to do every few years, but Dr Swain and this team made it about as good as this experience can be. Special kudos to the nurse who was patient and kind and checked and rechecked my veins and was able to get the iv started on the first try! She even reserved a bit of blood for the a1c so I didn't have to have an extra prick. That was much appreciated! Thank you all!

I had a procedure done at the hospital. Dr Swain did an amazing job and communicated the process to me and my family. Ellie my pre-op nurse was great and helped us feel at ease with the surgery. Bentley the nurse on evenings showed great customer service, always asking if we needed anything or could help us be more comfortable. The whole team was responsive, communicative, and thoughtful throughout my stay. So thankful to the MCCH team for taking such great care of me.

I spoke to Becky in scheduling on 11/7/25 , she did her job. She didn't think she did anything other than exactly what she should do. However, I called 3 other facilities and 3 other people didn't do what Becky simply did. She also went above and beyond and showed more compassion in that brief moment for my patient. I appreciated her so much for her role. I have been a nurse 20 plus years and I know a good scheduler and I have never felt the need to post anything. YOU have an exceptional employee Murray-Calloway County Hospital. I sure hope you recognize her for representing your facility so very well.
