I like that Dr. Schmidt takes time to listen and answer my questions. I had a difficult diagnosis to hear and he sat down and explained what was happening to me and why. He definitely has great bedside manner. I'm thankful that he is in my corner.
Dr Schmidt is a great cardiologist. He went above and beyond to understand my needs and address the issues. His staff was friendly, professional and efficient. Could not ask for more in medical care.
I highly do not recommend. This is my first experience with his office. I was told to be there 15 minutes early, which I was, I then was asked the same questions that was reviewed during a phone call for intake questions the previous day. I then waited 40 minutes past my scheduled appointment ( I was the first appointment for the day so no reason to be late) to basically only have 5 minutes of his time and was told that my heart issues are minor and to follow up in a YEAR! His bedside manner totally lacks empathy and I left feeling like dirt as the only thing he commented on was my weight and age. I get that I'm younger that most patients with heart issues but my minor issues still need to be taken care of and monitored and I should still be treated like a human being. I will not be back for my follow up visit with this dr and will be seeking a 2nd opinion.
