Heartache.....seen on emergency basis was told immediately on the table there was nothing else could be done. AMA says you never say something that derogatory. Lexington cardiologist are a group of no nothings with zero inovatness. So dont look for another. Visited clevland clinic brilliant doctor said my bypass surgery was ehh ok but alas to far away. He directed me to northern ky and st elizabeth. Not gonna sugar coat anything all of them said its a tough caes but there going to work on it. Not a canidate for a redo cabg. But other intervention methods are on the table I'm at st elizabeth now there mapping my heart in December. But at least I have hope now. There's way better out there than anything in lexington. I.E. UK performed its first lazer cardiac intervention 6/25. The procedures been around for 25 years. I feel stupid i thought i had the best now ALL of my docs are in the Cincinnati metro area kinda migrated there. Straight up lexington is no different than hazard. Seek the best dont settle. I owe Dr Shih an apology. I was expecting to much from the good man pertaining to problem I created years ago. I know he did what he could and I thank him.

Dr. Shih took great care of my husband. He did a great job of walking us through the procedure as well as performing the procedure! He has great bedside manner and was very kind. Dr. Shih was excellent with teaching a nurse a new procedure. You are in wonderful hands with Dr. Shih!

I saw Dr. Shih last summer and was scheduled for a procedure, however, on the day of the procedure, Dr. Shih was also on call that day. My procedure was not done because he kept getting called to the ER on emergencies. At one point I could hear Dr. Shih talking outside my door, but he was only there to pass me off to another doctor who did not have the credentials of Dr. Shih and had gone to a medical school outside of the United States and I did not feel comfortable with a lesser educated physician. I credentialed physicians for a living and was aware of the merits of the school the at which the other doctor had graduated, they were not comparable to Dr. Shih's. I was very disappointed that Dr. Shih himself had not spoke to me. Additionally, his nurse practitioner had dropped the ball and not arranged for an anesthesiologist as I was high risk for being put to sleep. They had a nurse that was going to administer the anesthesia and she had only been there 1 month. I felt very let down by Dr. Shih, Baptist Health, and the NP. The public needs to be aware of these happenings, as well as the good experiences. Central Baptist Hospital used to be the best, not so much now since they have grown and become Baptist Health. I only gave two stars because Dr. Shih does have a great bedside manner.

Dr.Shih is the GOAT as far as I'm concerned. Don't take my word for it though. If you have a need, go see him. Thorough and educated. Has a very good bedside manner and explains everything at length. I would recommend him in a heart beat. Lol, heavy pun intended.
