Dr Rukavina saved my life. I had made multiple trips to the ER for chest pain. I'd seen a local cardiologist as well. All my tests came back normal every single time. The local cardiologist didn't want to do a heart cath which was the logical next step. My kidney function numbers weren't great. He told me a heart cath would put me on dialysis because of the dye. But I continued having chest pain. I called myself and got in with Dr. Rukavina and he told me that I needed a heart cath. I told him what they told me about it. He asked me why they told me I couldn't have one. He looked at my kidney numbers and said , you can have a heart cath. He set me up and I had one the following week. I had 4 blockages. Stents were not an option for me because of diabetes and the location and size of the blockages. I had bypass surgery one week later. Had I not advocated for myself and went to Dr Rukavina, I probably wouldn't be here right now. How do you adequately say thank you to the person who saved your life? I'm not sure but, thank you. My aunt is the one who told me about him. She sees him for a fib. I've since told everyone I see about him.

I was a patient of Dr rukavina, if you're having heart problems, I would recommend him, if you're dealing with an arrhythmia, I would ask him for a referral to an electrophysiologist, if you're having anxiety just remember he is a heart doctor he is going to recommend you follow up with your primary care and you get your anxiety under control if you are having that but when it comes to your heart this is definitely his ballpark. Would 100% recommend.

Doc stayed at the hospital with me for over 14 hrs when I was in A-fib and my heart beating up to 190 beats per minute trying to get my heart rate under control. He's a Dedicated Heart specialist and an amazing human. I won't go anywhere else. He has been my Dr since 2012 and I dont plan to ever see another Heart Dr.

My mother is his patient. He has always been very attentive to her needs and concerns. She needed a valve replaced and he got her to the right Dr to perform that procedure quickly. She is a very nervous person and he has even called her to check that she is OK and answer any questions she may have had beyond her visit.

Missed the textbook signs of bacterial endocarditis, told me my chills were "menopause" I was only 35 at the time. His office would not schedule an echo. Ended up in UK for 26 days. I almost died because of his negligence. If I had listened to him I would absolutely be dead. Please do not go to him, for your own sake. My PCP figured out what was wrong with me. I've had 5 cardiologists in my life and he is the worst. Go to UK, Norton, literally anywhere else. I have heard horrible stories from the families of other patients who have died. This was not a one off mistake. Please protect yourself and your loved ones.
