Jennie Stuart Memorial Hospital was the dream of Dr. Edward Stuart, a pioneer physician who practiced medicine in his home in Fairview, Kentucky. His dream became a reality shortly after the turn of the century when his beloved wife became the inspiration and legacy for a new hospital.
Dr. Stuart was born in 1828, near Antioch Church. He graduated from St. Louis Medical College in 1851 and began his medical practice in the Crofton area. After two years, Dr. Stuart moved his practice to Fairview and conducted a modest medical practice in Fairview for the next 67 years, where The Stuart House still stands. He married Jane "Jennie" Vaughn, and they had two children: May, who died in her 20s, and Willie, who died in infancy.

If I could give this hospital, zero stars I would. My husband and I live in Gainesville Georgia and he was traveling to Hopkinsville Kentucky on business, while in his hotel room, he suffered a severe case of vertigo, making him unable to stand or even open his eyes. I was able to contact 911 emergency services from Georgia. They arrived, picked him up and brought him to Jennie Stuart hospital. He was seen in a timely manner, he said the nursing staff was nice but the PA that saw him seemed like he could care less. They sent him for an x-ray and CT scan. They did lab work and an EKG. Everything was normal, but he was still suffering, severe dizziness and couldn't even get from the hospital "chair/recliner" which should've been a hospital bed into a wheelchair. He had arrived there by ambulance, was so dizzy he couldn't stand up and they told him they needed the bed. There was nothing else they could do for him and he needed to go. He tried to explain to them he was from out of town. He had nobody to pick him up. He couldn't stand up or walk due to extreme dizziness, so a rideshare wasn't an option, and they basically said sorry. Fortunately, I was able to reach someone in the area that could pick him up and bring him to his hotel. We were lucky enough the hotel had a wheelchair in the lobby, otherwise, I don't know how the coworker would have gotten him to his room. I work for a large hospital system here in Georgia and I can't imagine telling a patient that they have to go when they aren't even able to stand up. My son and I were on the way from Georgia which was a five-hour drive. He tried explaining that to them but they didn't seem too concerned about it and just told him they needed the bed. If anyone ever asks me about this facility, I will tell them how disappointed we were in the service. Also, I received my EOB from our insurance. today and they double charged for the emergency room visit I am a medical coder. I know all the codes they use and they charge both a level four and a level five evaluation and management code. This is fraudulent coding and I will be contacting the insurance company for them to request a refund from your facility.

Fantastic care! Today I had surgery here andthe whole staff was amazing. First, the lady at the pre op desk(didn't get her name, lovely smile, long braids) was great. Yesterday Diana did my preop work up, she was great. She was learning the system, and didn't let it get her down. Today Sheena did my preop work. She was very thorough and kind. Made me feel at ease.
Now the surgical staff- the CRNA(female, halloween scrub cap, forgot her name), calmed my nerve, told me everything she was going to do, made sure I understood everything. Dr. Toubia has the best bedside manner I have ever experienced. Ever since the first time I met him, he took his time to explain everything, listens to your concerns, and always give options, instead of just 1 solution.
Post- Op Care- they are angels! Lauren and Mallory-They all kept checking on me, helping me, making sure I was comfortable. Yes I know it is there job, but their care was top notch.
Now my girl, PENNY! My husband and I cannot stop talking about her. All the care I received was great, but Penny was just a superstar in patient care. From helping me walk to the bathroom, giving my my a medicines, helping position me so I would feel less pain, she rocked. Just taking a few extra minutes to have a real conversation goes a long way. Penny is a treasure and Jenny Stewart is lucky to have her.
I work at an unrelated trauma hospital, and I know the care a patient deserves and this crew knocked it out if the park!

I have used this hospital for two minor surgeries. Both were very professionally managed, including the administrative portion of being registered and follow up. Nurses and doctors were extremely confident and cared highly for any need I may have.
It was a pleasure using this hospital for the two procedures that I had
My overall experience was wonderful.
Thank you very much, especially to the numerous nurses that cared for me. You made my day much more enjoyable.

Looks like I might be spending Christmas here as I've been here for the last four days
I'm in the ICU ward and they are taking care of me in a fantastic manner. The nurses are all very professional and kind even when they wake you up in the middle of the night to take your vitals.
The food is edible and it probably tastes better than I can cook. Which is really not saying much.
This hospital is improving with constant construction.
My room here has all the accommodations that one would want. I've added a picture.
I tried to make this a separate feedback, but I was unable to figure it out.

Worst emergency room ever!! I so wish instead of building a new school that they would build a new better hospital around christian county!! A hospital where nurses care about patients! We came in at 8 this morning and it's 1:12 now, but at 9:30 this morning we asked for a blanket because my husband was shivering well, we didn't get a blanket until 10:45 after asking 3 different nurses one named Amanda for a blanket. Some rude uncaring nurses here. At this point we're just ready to leave. If you're gonna be on this field of work please care about patients and helping them and getting what they need. And not do it for the money!

My sick child sat in the triage for four hours before they even gave her medication. I told them simply what the problem was and what she needed when we arrived , and they simply took their time giving medication. This is the worst emergency room.
