We had an emergency a couple of nights ago. The staff is not only friendly and nice, but incredibly capable and qualified, both in the ER and the ICU. It was an great experience, despite the circumstances. The cafeteria makes some excellent food as well.

I was forced to go to the emergency room by their urgent care doctors. Was charged $1600 for "emergency care" when I was hooked up to a blood pressure cuff and a pulse/O2 sensor, but was otherwise stable and received no additional care beyond the xray and unnecessary CT that I paid separately for in addition to the "emergency care" charges. Annnnnd their lovely doctor ordered the wrong CT, opted to do xrays instead, and still charged me for the CT of the wrong view. Their billing department says all charges are valid. Be prepared to be under-served and over-charged.

I had never been to a St E emergency room location before today, but chose despite the negative leaning reviews online due to location and short wait time. I am glad I did. I think it helps to remember that while many people leave negative reviews after a memorably bad experience in a difficult time, not many people think to leave good reviews of their time spent in a hospital. Jamie and Leah are invaluable to this institution's staff. Both of them had incredible bedside manner and were quick, caring, and respectful of the devastating day and symptoms I was having. I felt seen and empathized with... treated as a human being, which unfortunately has rarely been the case in other ER visits I've had to other hospitals in the past. I was listened to, provided with resources for follow up care, and my test results were clearly explained to me. Thank you for caring for me the way you both did on one of my hardest and most vulnerable days.

Patient

I was pleased with the rehab care on the 5th floor, but when my dad went down for dialysis, something went terribly wrong. It upset him so much that he decided to stop all dialysis and passed away nine days later. Please watch closely if someone you love is here. The nurses' note below confirms that something went wrong. I had planned to look further into his MyChart records, but access was shut down as soon as he passed.

Patient

My daughter is a patient there, now. I am extremely unhappy and feel the care she is receiving is borderline medical negligence, possibly malpractice. Call your patient experience line? I've called 5 times in the last couple days. Left voicemails. NO RETURN CALL. I've asked for a patient advocate and social worker to advocate for her care. No response from anyone. Your network of hospitals is dangerous.
