Kansas Heart Hospital

I originally was in the hospital in 2023. I was told stents were not an option for me and I required quadruple bypass. In 2025, I began having issues again and surprisingly I had a stent put in. Why was it an option the second time but not the first? I have so many unanswered questions! The first time I was in the hospital the majority of the staff was great. The second time not so much to the point I am about to simply walk out. My doctor has already said he released me but they won't let me go. Yesterday my doctor specifically told them to bring in a social worker to discuss my bill, the nurses along with the NP discussed it amongst themselves and decided that wasn't needed so no social worked came. Multiple times my doctor has said one thing only to have the nurses disregard what he says. He is my doctor, not them. I would rather die on my living room floor than to step back in this hospital.

A great hospital to come to for anything with the heart. The hospital is very nice, well equipped, quiet, food is great and most important Are the nurses doctors staff all treated me with respect and were very concerned at all times for my health and well-being. Each procedure was explained me in detail from my nurses to my specialist to my doctor.

I went in to get a stint placed in my carotid artery and after the placement they sent me to a room. About 6 hours later they decided i could get up and walk around but as soon as i did i noticed that my right leg was swollen so bad i could hardly walk. Also my groin was really sore. This happened on May 6 2025. I went home the next day and still had a hard time walking. Today is May 11 and i am still having a hard time walking and my groin is still sore. My leg is bruised from my hip to past my knee on the back of my right leg. I am 75 years old and i cannot afford this kind of mistake at my age. I would not recommend Dr. Hutchinson to anyone. The nurses were fine but i would recommend some one else. I will not be returning to this hospital anytime soon.

After having a heart attack on September 6th i was sent to Kansas Heart hospital. The care given to me there was beyond wonderful. The nurses were kind and helpful. The food was great. I hope to never return but if I ever find myself in need again, that's my first choice!

My husband was admitted for a heart procedure, TEE with a cardiogram. Everyone is exceptional. Lindsey his nurse during the procedure and Denver his nurse when he was admitted were both so nice and caring. There was another nurse Liz during his procedure who was very helpful. Dr. Hutchinson his anesthesiologist was the best, and so is his cardiologist Dr. Reusser. Their Heart Rock Cafe, the food is so good and the people that work in it are so nice also. Please continue to keep this level of service and care because it is rare! Adding his nurse Karen from this mornings procedure, his nurse Jennifer from last night, and his nurse Amber from today to the list of exceptional staff! Dr. Parikh did ablation surgery on my husband. Again, cannot say enough good things. Everyone is just so nice and professional. Thank you so much. It really does restore my faith in humans when we are there.
