2 hometown doctors repeatedly told me I had nothing wrong even though I had been having chest pain etc. In 1 appt, Dr Tauke determined that I had a critical blockage and a few days later I had bypass surgery. Without that surgery, I would not have survived. Dr Tauke saved my life!
I arrived in winfield for my appointment and the doctor was a no show. I called the wichita office and confirmed my appointment and the transferred me to the doctors answering machine and never received a call back.
Dr. Tauke is an excellent cardiologist. He helped my husband through many difficulties with his cardiovascular system and he has been great for me too.
If you want response to messages you leave you won't get it here. I tried multiple times calling about possible side effects I may be having with a new prescribed heart med and no response or call or attempt to reach me was made. It has been over a week now but no returned call. I called my pharmacist to see if he could help me. Now I am not sure what to do. I am seeing another doctor tomorrow to see if they can hep me. The physician assistant is really nice though but Dr. Taukes primary nurse bedside manner comes across as rough and uncaring. Also,They are way way to busy. If you want more one on one personal care no matter how small your diagnosis might be this is not the place. Any heart matter should be considered important because for a lay person it is scary.
Dr Tauke is very knowledgeable and takes the time to talk and listen! A suggestion is to notify patients of their appointments a day or two ahead of appointment. I also suggest the contact patients when they need to cancel and reschedule appointments.
