Dr. Tummala seemed very knowledgeable and wise as he processed the information on me, and discussed alternative solutions. I appreciated his calm, patient explanations. A procedure has been scheduled in a few weeks. We will see how it works out.
The nurse I saw was wonderful. I waited in the room for about 30-40 minutes before I was seen, and Dr. Tummala didn't seem to be concerned about my POTs syndrome because the sit, lay and stand test didn't provide him any information because it wasn't done long enough to get a reading. Asking a patient why they believe they have something (POTs) instead of reading my chart is wild. I don't "believe" I have it. I've already been diagnosed with it by a cardiologist who sent me to him because he's supposed to be a Pots specialist. I felt abandoned and completely dismissed.
Time with the doctor was ok. Wait time was very long. I realize that there are times when emergency occur but patients should be made aware of the time wait. I had an appointment at 11:15 and did not get out of your office until 1:15. And only saw the doctor for about 10 minutes max.
Very skilled, attentive, willing to clearly explain issues. We had to work with two other specialists and he and his office staff were excellent at cross communications.
Dr Tummala is very smart and helpful. I appreciate his honesty. I will continue to see him as long as he will have me.
