I deeply appreciate the care and detail that Dr. Yang provides on every visit. I find her to be extremely knowledgeable and very thorough in all she does.

had actually really loved Dr. Yang when i first went to see her but then Dr.Yang and her team recommended me for an urgent valve replacement in 2021 (backed off this recommendation once my heart function began to bounce back) and again in 2022 where her heart structure team advised that "in the absence of other answers this is the issue" when i asked why my testing was not indicating worsening valve issues. I ended up being told by Dr. Yang that if i wasn't following their recommendations she wasnt sure she could help me further at which point she very dismissively let me know i should probably pursue other care as she "wasn't sure what more she could do for me". I went on to have a TIA in october of 2023 and went to KU med for my symptoms. by day 3 of my hospital stay they diagnosed me with a PFO with massive shunt and i was throwing clots through it. My D-dimmer had always been "mysteriously" high and i had issues with heart function and post brain MRI it was found that i had actually already had multiple silent strokes due to the PFO. I got lucky. I don't blame Dr. Yang for not finding the issue but i do find the dismissive attitude and the way it all went down to be.. unprofessional. they clearly wanted to close the case and move on rather than continue to investigate my issues since it didn't come wrapped up in the typical box. I thank god every single day that i didn't get a completely unnecessary life changing valve surgery at only 28 years old which would have also put me at incredibly increased risk for more strokes post surgery and could very well have been life threatening. Can't say i would recommend this team.

Dr. Yang is a pleasure to deal with. She always makes you feel like you are the most important part of her day. Takes time to explain things, talk about action plans, and make suggestions that could help. She is great!! Love having her as my Doc!!
