At LMH Health (formerly Lawrence Memorial Hospital), our purpose is to be a partner for lifelong health.
LMH Health has a rich history. Founded in 1921, LMH is a 174-bed hospital located in Lawrence, Kansas. Through the years, hospital additions have been built and health care services have expanded--a trend that continues today.
LMH continues to be a community-owned, not-for-profit hospital that serves the health care needs of the community regardless of an individual's ability to pay.
The hospital is accredited by The Joint Commission. In addition, hospital services are surveyed by a variety of other accrediting agencies.

I have many doctors through this hospital and let me tell you. Not one has been a disappointment. They all go far beyond doctor patient care. They treat you like family. I absolutely love this place. THANK YOU SO SO MUCH LMH CANCER CENTER, PLASTICS AND DR.KIM TODD. THANK YOU. If I missed anyone I'm sorry bc I see a ton of doctors at LMH.

If you are a cancer patient and needing emergency care please do NOT go to LMH. If you need a CT scan please don't go to the LMH ER. My mom is a cancer patient and was needing a CT scan and was sent to the ER for the scan. She sat in a full waiting room for hours as a stage 4 cancer patient with a lowered immune system. Once the scan was finally performed it was not read correctly on the date of service. She was set up for a procedure for 3 days later based off the scan results. She was sent home for those days. Procedure day arrives and was immediately told by the provider reading the scan that the procedure can't be done due to this person actually reading the scan correctly. Now her cancer doctor wants her to go back to LMH ER where she was days ago in the first place. Please go to KU or better hospitals that take patient care seriously. Convenience sometimes is not the best choice when it comes to healthcare. There are way better options in the KC area.

Was admitted two years ago in July. Had mild pneumonia, but suffered kidney failure. Now I live in Arizona and have gone through evaluation for a kidney transplant. The hospital here is trying to verify my admission to LMH to approve my addition to the list for transplant but I and the hospital contacted LMH and they have NO record of my admission somehow. How do you NOT have the records of someone's stay at a hospital for kidney failure?! How sloppy are you to lose someone's records?!
ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC

The LMH ER is the absolute worst. Go to Kansas City if you need an ER. Overland Park Regional, Children's Mercy, Olathe Medical Center, and KU Med all have better functioning ER's and care for patients. I have been to LMH ER 2 times in less than 2 weeks. The first with my daughter after a car crash, they forgot about us even though our "room" was in the hallway and hospital personnel walked past us over 20 times. The second is with my mom who has stage 4 cancer. Her doctor who is part of LMH needed her to get a CT for possible bowel obstruction. The doctor put her in a room in the cancer center to wait but the ER forced them to move her to the ER waiting room where she has now been waiting in a room filled with people for two hours. There is no efficiency or patient care here. It is all about the bottom line. Do not come here if you need to be seen safely and quickly.

I took my son to Lawrence memorial to be seen he happens to be autistic and was playing as children do. A lady and her girlfriend had a problem with this and spoke out "Do you mind?!" I told her "He is a child and to mind her own business" she went to get a security guard and the security guard put us in a hallway and told me they would come get us when it was time to be seen taking her one sided story. A. Few hours went by and I went to check our place in line and the security guard told the front desk I had left AMA and to take us off the list. I said nope still here and my autistic son is still sick. She apologized and we were taken back. He needs fired.
