There is a provider at this clinic who talks over and shouts at patients when they ask questions and request clarification on the provider's statements. We are talking about full-on shouting with eyes bulging out--not simply raising one's voice, having a bad day, or naturally having a "loud" vocal volume. This is textbook abuse, and it's unacceptable. It's also unsettling to realize that the provider has likely been heard doing so by other staff members and the clinic's administrators, yet the provider is still working there. I reported the provider's behavior to Patient Relations and other University of Kansas complaint mechanisms. Shouting at patients is never okay, and it's deplorable that KUMC enables their providers to act inappropriately with patients. This provider was clearly unhinged and needs help. Avoid this toxic clinic, they do not deserve a dime of your money. I won't be returning.
