Newman Regional Health Medical Partners

Dr. Esau has been an excellent physician. She listens and does a great job discussing options. Newman Family Medicine is the medical practice in the medical arts building attached to Newman Regional Hospital. I think folks are getting the practice confused with the actual hospital, and they are separate entities.

If I could give this hospital a 0, I would. Nobody seems to know why patients aren't made aware of policy changes that occur within the hospital that result in huge bills for patients. The employee I talked to was incredibly rude and asserted it was my fault I didn't know the policy change had occurred even though she admitted that information is only available on a form they send you AFTER an emergency room visit. Then after speaking to her supervisor, she basically excused the employee of her behaviors because she was right about the policy having changed... And then admitted that it doesn't make any sense for a policy change to affect patients in that way without making it known to patients before they visit the hospital. I've also been to the ER, and consistently heard the RNs just chatting about their crazy drinking nights at the bar, etc. when I feel like they should have those conversations on their own time when patients aren't around waiting on service.

t is 110% worth it to go to someplace like Wichita, Olathe, or Topeka than go here. I have had countless awful experiences. First, I used to get my allergy shots here and they do not have on hand what they needed to and the wait times were ridiculous. Then recently I went there and had a prescription but I clearly stated I wanted it at a SPECIFIC pharmacy because I work at one of them here. I straight up told the doctor I would be very embarrassed if it was sent to me job and guess what she does? She sent it to the WRONG pharmacy and now everyone knows of my super embarrassing medical condition. Awful experiences over and over. DO NOT GO HERE.

My son had an appointment with a real MD. They sent in a PA to see him. She gave him a shot for his rash and nothing else. 2 days later we are in the ER for the same thing but his rash had spread. The ER PA asked why he is here and he said that newman PA said if it spreads to his hips to go the the ER. The er gave him pills and cream. Waste of money towards the ER when newman PA could had given this same stuff during his doctor appt.

Dr. Ryan LaSota is mine and my whole families PCP and he is amazing!
