Iowa heart left a message for me to contact them. But they don't answer the phones. Let it ring over 30 min. No answer Don't even get the option to leave a message. They make it difficult to even send email. I need a 3rd party verification... As far as I can get. I guess I have to drive over there to make an appointment. Been like this since I started going here years ago.

For a medical clinic. Phone calls are important and this one needs to find a new way of doing things. Either higher on people to answer your calls and relay messages to better communicate with patients or just answer the phone. My grandma has been going here for awhile and getting through has always been a struggle. I see many other reviews about this same issue and there seems to be no change. What is the plan in better communicating with your patients? This is frustrating for your patients and is lack of compassion to them. As a nurse, I understand being busy, but there should be a better process in place for answering and returning calls.

They keep moving appointment for my husband,that clinic not worth it, not reliable and not trust worthy, the personnel as much failure to recognize a patient with serious cardiac problem is not their main thing...as well cardiologist incapable to do serious work and the oath they take " Do not harm " has been violated. Patient not evaluated on time as they promised, it's another failure, to the patient....under their irresponsibility shows fall for negligence ...

My cardiologist retired so I received a text asking me to call to reschedule my appointment. After waiting 30 minutes on the phone, the person said he would send the nurse a message to call me back to reschedule. After waiting a week I called again. This time the receptionist attempted to reschedule me to drive to Winterset (30 minutes) for the most recent available appointment, 2 months away. Wait time was another 30 minutes. I asked to speak to a supervisor, requiring another 20 minutes of waiting. The supervisor was not available but I was informed "Tanya" would call me back. She did attempt calling me but I missed her call. She left me a voicemail saying she would try again later. That was 3 days ago! Customer service is poor and justifies my 2 star rating.

Scheduling with them is a nightmare. Rarely do you get someone when you call and if you leave a message they don't call back in a timely manner. When I finally did got ahold of someone they said appointments are two months out. I let them know an ER doctor referred me and expressed urgency to be seen. Rather than trying to be helpful I just got an attitude and a comment about how ER doctors always say that but don't have control over expediting appointments.
