Dr. Martin joined Iowa Heart Center in November of 2007. He holds a medical degree from the University of Santo Tomas in the Philippinesand completed his residency at St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Dr. Martin completed his cardiology fellowship at East Tennessee State University and his advanced cardiac CT/MR. fellowship at the University of Florida at Shands. Before joining Iowa Heart, Dr. Martin was the Director of Cardiovascular Imaging at Rockford Cardiology Associates in Rockford, IL. Dr Martin is a good surgeon, however he spends about 5 minutes with you on follow up appointments. I also have a problem with him not renewing prescriptions and have not been able to get refills. I am now completely out of one and he won't approve it saying I haven't visited him in several months. I have had no reason to see him as I have felt fine. I will be looking for a new Dr and also will have no medications until I find one.
Doesn't listen to his patients and seems to have a scripted talk for each patient and not care they are actual people. Doesn't provide much help at all or flexibility in discussion of treatment options. It's basically his way or the highway.
