UnityPoint Health - Allen Hospital

My great grandma has been cared for here the last couple days!! She was in the ER then moved upstairs. Shout out to Rayna/Kylie (ER) and Bella/Rainy (upstairs). They all were amazing and my great grandma absolutely adored them!! There were two other nurses she loved but I didn't get their names unfortunately. Keep up the amazing work ladies!! Edit: one of the nurses was also Nicole on third floor!

I hate this place! You guys are evil! So evil!! Save Josie, hospice nurse, and hospice chaplain. My mom worked here in housekeeping for decades!! She was diagnosed with covid, and we could not get in hospital to see her. Some Dr. I never heard of said treatment here, would help her, they administered to her and she was in agony 4 hrs. later! Then this place and all working here at this time, acted like I was bothering them to see how she was doing, mind you, only, 4 hours later!!! She went from being able to talk, laugh, to screaming after only 4 hrs. of this "hospital" adminstering this treatment. To all you all in charge up there at that so called hospital, how do you sleep at night? I know you all remember my hard working beautiful mama. She stated how mean and rude you all were to her, before giving her this "treatment", not even a blanket?? I do not know why allen memorial became so evil but I can tell you when, November 2020, for sure. I have prayed and prayed over this. Please do not take anyone you love here. They do not care about people here. Especially the people who dedicated their lives in housekeeping of patient rooms. Praying for this so called "hospital", my mom is, she was, and is the greatest, forever! RIH, mom, I love you. Rest in Heaven.

As I am sitting in the e.r. on and off balling between pain so dizzy I cant stand on my own I watch only 2 people in 2 hours get called back who show no signs of distress, walking on their own. One came in and immediately got put in wheel chair, smiling and kicking her feet go back right away. Another walked in, sat for 5 minutes, no signs of distress and got called back. I asked for a blanket as I am freezing! And my answer is i can ask and never hear anything. Got up to window tole her I need to know what is going on with me, please help me and her response was I will have the nurse come talk to you again. Haven't seen her yet. What is wrong with our medical system.. how can this be considered acceptable? There has to be a better way. Just to add, this place is really dirty. Like dirtier than most. Please do better

Yes it's true don't go here if your dealing with mental health. You be put in an isolation room and then the main doctor that will come and talk to you will take forever to come and see you, no matter what time of day it is. This happened to me 1 and 2 I was only at the hospital for like 3 or 4 hours before I got discharged from the Mental Heath Area and then I get billed over $1,200 dollars for a medical bill. They didn't even fully admit me and for me being in the mental health area they really shouldn't have just let me leave like that. The doctors and nurses truly don't car about what you got going on their there for the money cause they know they get paid. I recommend myself and everyone to go to a different hospital especially if it's for mental health reasons.

I received the best care from jen/Jenny in triage. she took great care of me. you can tell she's very experienced and very professional and has been taking care of people for a long time. it was very busy in there today, but she proceeded with a smile and the best optimistic attitude a person can have. 10 out 10. thank you Jenny
