Board certified in Interventional Cardiology and Cardiovascular Disease, Samuel J. Congello, DO grew up in a family of physicians learning that caring for patients is a privilege. As an interventional cardiologist he loves helping people overcome heart problems and treating patients with caring, kindness, compassion, and respect. Dr Congello is a member of the Cardiology Fellowship Faculty of MercyOne North Iowa and a valued member of Mason City Clinic's world-class Cardiovascular team providing heart care to patients at MercyOne North Iowa Cardiology Specialty Care at the Mason City Clinic. You guys always treat me sooo very good. Dr. Congello really cares for us patients and is on top of everything. Mason City is VERY fortunate to have an exceptional Dr. Now, I'm not putting down any other drs., but Dr. Congello is top notch. You have several great drs there too, or I'm sure they would not be in Mason City. Congrats for running a well oiled facility. And, Thank You!!!

I have the best Dr. (Dr. Samuel Congello) he always is so positive and takes time with his patients to answer their concerns. I always leave my appointment with him felling better!! He suggested walking 50 min each day which I have been doing! Didn't think I could! Think I will feel so much better being more active!!

Great visit. The nurse was very nice and not grumpy. Took her time and made sure to ask if I had anything she needed to know. DR Congelo was spot on and took time to listen to my concerns.

Everyone is always so friendly and I did not have to wait long. I never do mind waiting because I was air flighted to Mercy after I had a Sudden Cardiac Arrest 21 years ago. I am sure other patients had to wait while my life was being saved! My appointment with Dr. Congello was a "five star" visit as usual. He had answers for all my concerns and since he was there to care for me when I had my SCA, he knows my medical history and ordered some necessary precautionary tests. I think it is so important to to know your doctor and not have a different one every visit. He has saved my life more than once by picking up on some little clue that he has told me in someone else he might let go. Because he knows my history he ordered further testing that showed I did indeed have a threat that might have resulted in major heart damage. Thank you Dr. Sam and Mercy Hospital!!
