Medical Associates Clinic | East Campus

Took my sister to the east campus this morning. Horrible experience. Horrible.my sister has cancer. Stopped at the check in desk. Radiology/Lab. The lady at the checkin . The lady that sits at the lower desk was so rude. We stood at the desk. She didn't even acknowledge us. Acted like she was busy. She wasn't. So we moved to the other lady. When we did the rude lady said. Who's next. She did this immediately when we move over. Rude,rude ,rude. So now I tell everyone I know about my experience. Now about the Radiology department. This is the second time my sister had to go for a mammo and ultrasound. So my sister goes in and the Radiology doctor asked her why she was there. She was there in March. And he was rude then. She told him the Oncologist ordered the test. They questioned her last time too. And we're very rude last time when she had to have her port checked. To see if it was working properly. My sister is going through cancer. She doesn't deserve this type of treatment. You need to improve.

The pediatric department is amazing! They are so kind and caring, especially of my children who have special needs. They are super quick to respond to all questions and concerns. Wait times are minimal. We are in and out of appointments very quickly, yet never feel rushed by the providers.

This place is very misleading. Chances are they don't take your insurance, but of course you can pay out of pocket... They dropped my one insurance, I got another. They dropped my wife's insurance. Found out they don't carry my new one either. And these are big name companies like Aetna, United Healthcare, etc...I actually asked when I made the appointment and was told they take my insurance. I got there and was told they don't. So rather than waste your time, go somewhere else. Funny I was going there to fix a potential screw up from a previous hernia surgery they did.

This place is the worst. Went to get lab work and they told me that I had to make a payment. Communication there is the WORST ever. I made payment but they can't seem to find them. One more thing I was a patient there for 2 days and I got a bill for 30,000 dollars and I still had to fly back to Boston to get properly diagnosed. If I am dying please don't take me there, they suck your insurance dry and leave you with a huge bill.

If I could give negative stars, I would. I have never experienced what I did at any other type of Urgent Care. Medical Associates says that they will file a claim to any insurance but what they don't tell you is that the doctor you see may not be within your coverage of insurance. I have never experienced that at any urgent care and they are NOT upfront about it. Instead I got a bill in the mail for $142 for a doctor seeing me for maybe 5 minutes. When spoke to about this, they told me "that is the patients responsibility to know that". After I was told that, I looked on their website and I couldn't find what they take for insurance and which doctors take my insurance; if it is there, it is not easily accessible. I will never go back to a medical associates and I feel like this system is manipulative. My insurance provider let me know that sometimes these clinics do that, and I should call from now on to make sure there is a doctor there who takes my insurance. Which is stupid. If I am going into an urgent care, usually you never know which doctor you will get. And, am I supposed to plan when I am sick? I feel completely blind sided by this, and this should be said and upfront right away! Instead they have you see the doctor and then bill you so there is nothing you can do about it.
