12-04-25 (around 11:30 a.m.) (Suite 302 Hematology) & (front check in desk downstairs by valet parking). Dun Lee/Lynn (not sure how to pronounce her name), but the older lady in Hematology Department always has a bad attitude and makes me wait for wheel chair rides downstairs to the main lobby. She said that she called someone to give me a ride back downstairs, but I was still waiting in the office by her window for over an hour. I finally asked her if she called for a ride and she snapped at me and said "I called". If she called, then why am I still sitting there an hour later while she chit chats endlessly with other patients ? She always has an excuse. She use to claim that she did not know who to call for wheel chair rides and that she did not know or have any phone numbers to call. Then later her excuse became that she called security for rides but they haven't shown up yet. She is purposely ignoring me and letting me sit there and wait for no reason while she is involved with long drawn out chit chat conversations with other patients.-------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (12-18-25 Hematology visit)(Update). The medical assistant (Donna ?)(very short dark hair) gave me a wheelchair ride downstairs today and I did not have to wait. But I had to listen to her excuses as to why it was acceptable last time/visit to wait an hour for a wheelchair ride downstairs and how I may have to wait an hour again on my next visit. So she's already making excuses for future bad behavior. She said they "may not have time next visit to make a 3-second phone call" to get me a wheel chair ride downstairs. But, Donna and Dunn Lee/Lynn have plenty of time to chit chat, giggle, and cackle while on the clock. They are creating problems out of thin air. ---------------------------(Around 12:35 p.m.)The lady down stairs by the valet parking registration window had a hostile tone with me when she asked if she could help me. She seemed more interested in shoving food in her mouth than she did in helping me after I told her I had a complaint about someone. I don't know her name, but she was young looking and had straight blond hair and was shoving food in her mouth and eating. Another lady ended up helping me.

Recently, I went to this ER for the first time and it was a breath of fresh air. My family has used the ER at Northwest Health (Porter) for years and have mostly received good care, despite other aspects being annoying. But our last visit was terrible, so I decided not to go back. I was debating going to the ER for an issue but my spouse really wanted me to go. So I gave St Mary ER a try. Every aspect of the visit was excellent. The registration process was efficient and easy. All the staff were caring and attentive. The ultrasound tech was my favorite. The doctor explained what they were doing and why and took me seriously. My results were quick yet I didn't feel rushed. Later, I was surprised to receive a personal phone call asking how I was doing! We will definitely come back to this ER and will recommend it to others.

Trips for the ER are never fun, but I can say that my visit here this morning was one of the most positive experiences I've had regarding an emergency room visit. From the front desk staff to the nurses and doctor and the girl who came in to complete registration, they were extremely pleasant and helpful with almost zero waiting. The doctor was thorough in her explanation with her plan and the nurses followed up and completed everything immediately. I never felt like I was "forgotten" while sitting in a room. It's reassuring to know I've finally found a place in Valpo that I can rely on for professional competent care when needed!

Told us my daughter didn't have croup, she most certainly did! They gave her nothing. She ended up giving it to my son who is 4 months old and was hospitalized. Don't recommend!

Patient

This emergency room is a joke. Sends people home with such high blood pressure they should be admitted to the hospital. 180+\100+ and they don't even touch the patient. In the room for less than 5 minutes. Doctors that act like they don't care. Alex J Rembialkowski, PA In particular. If you want real care don't go here.
