My 80-yr old mother was hospitalized for a week and a half at Methodist Southlake prompted by abnormally acute seizure activity and a dangerously low heart rate. After 48 hrs of tests, scans, and diagnosis, she received a pacemaker implant to accelerate her heart rate. A very quick and successful procedure by the cardiac electrophysiologist and support team brought her heart rate up to normal levels. Although being bed-ridden for several days left her extremely weak, she was tended, cared-for, and strengthened by an impressive staff of nurses and PT therapists over the course of the week following her procedure. Every day I visited her, she was being attentively cared-for and monitored by her RN and CNA professionals. They were intentional in their communication to me regarding her condition and status and actually called my personal cell phone with updates whenever I was unable to visit for a day. And to further elevate the experience, my mom said the food was terrific! I really can't say enough about our experience at Methodist Southlake. The level of care exceeded my expectations and was notably superior to experiences with my Father and Step-Father who both have had extended stays recently at other area hospitals. I will request that my parents be taken to Methodist Southlake to receive hospital care in the future. I will do the same for myself or my wife if the occasion unexpectedly presents itself. Please extend my gratitude to all.

This place deserves 0 stars. I was in the hospital for 3 days for neurological conditions, and my day nurse, Chris, had the biggest attitude. She should NOT be in that profession. She started off by complaining that she had to work 3 12's, then complained that I gave her a sore throat. No, I CAUGHT PNEMONIA in there!!!... my room was NEVER cleaned (i was afraid to ask because i was a nussance to her every time she gave me my meds late, or asked for anything), my sheets and blankets were never changed, and i wasn't given hospital socks until day 3. Also, this nurse blamed ME for not having hospital socks! Isn't that HER job??? The only nice experience was my night nurse, Brianna. My oxygen was low for most of my stay too, and they did NOTHING. I'm SO sick, I'm PISSED. Looks like I'm going to have to spend Christmas in another hospital. My release papers were also for a condition i was not diagnosed with! Watch out methodist. Seriously.

Telemarketers continuously call the patient room number. All day long the calls coming through were from telemarketers. Very annoying when you are recovering from surgery. The rooms are also in desperate need of upgrades. The ceiling light cover in the operating room was coming down. The doctors are absolutely wonderful. Some nurses were great, others not so much. The building needs some serious TLC. Pavilions A and C are well kept but this building 8701 is not. Also lack of parking in front of building 8701. We had to park at pavilion A then walk to this building. Very inconvenient. The room was well kept but I wouldn't say clean.

I had my first baby here at Methodist and could not have asked for better labor and delivery staff. All the nurses and specialists made me feel comfortable, which is huge when going through childbirth for the first time. I was treated with dignity, respect, and compassion every step of the way. My midwife Paula who delivered my daughter was also amazing and I definitely recommend her I now have a healthy, happy baby girl with the help of these amazing people! Thank you for the support!

Their Cardiology department operated like a well oiled machine. Pro-op team was very careful meticulous and thorough, (it took 2 hrs to prep). I felt they really cared about me as a person not just another patient to rush through surgery. I don't need to go to Chicago or other hospital systems when they are top notch this side of the border. I highly recommend Methodists Campuses.
