Patient
Nothing to do with provider. My appointment was at 3. Was told to come a half hour early which would have been 2:30.. Then I was told that there were shutdowns on 65. In total I received 4 messages about this appointment. So I passed all messages on to my driver who said we should leave early since there may be delays. It normally takes about 11/2 hours to get to hospital . It did indeed take us some longer but we arrived at .2:10 I went to check in and was told I could not. I was not trying to see the doctor early just to check in and let them know I was here. I fear for bad weather I will just have to cancel.most of those appointments . Sad I remember a day when the staff would juggle their appointments around so you could see multiple doctors on the same day there. When you have drivers, are elderly or very sick adding another do callled problem is not very friendly. Before if I were early I would just sit and read. Do puzzles or listen to my phone till I was called for an appointment., and yes I have sat hours waiting my turn at times when doctors had an appointment without complaint. Your check in guidelines needs to be re- evaluated.
