The female that took my MRI told me what to expect, how to expect it treated me with kindness and respect. Always ask how I was doing, how I was holding up as if she could do anything for me. And if she could help me in any way, she was very kind. And respectful, I had a wonderful experience with her, and she helped me out for something that was new to me. I highly recommend this place just for the customer service experience that willingness to be helpful during a dark time of not knowing

I give a 5 star to the nuclear medicine stress test department all of them were excellent..They were very forth coming with everything they were going to do an for it being my 1st time n I was scared an nervous.. All their bed side manners n so informative an so polite an explaining everything thoroughly to me through each an every step they were going to do. I would tell ppl to go to them. So a Hugh Thank You too Lisa,Gayle,Lou,Morgan an Monica.. For everything an continue to to stay so kind an understanding,,May God continue to bless you all.. NOW ON THE OTHER PART OF MY TEST.. I had to get an Echo after the nuclear stress test. Now for this I personally will request for a different tech if I have to go to that department again. Being my 1st time there too, so I get called I go back still not feeling well from the 1st test but pushed thru it. The tech comes tells me her name Lisa(different lady not the same frm stress test)tells me what kind of test she's going to do, an that she is going to leave the IV in just incase she has to give me something I said ok. Well she is doing the test she is on a spot n it hurts to the point I'm grabbing my pants leg n blanket n I'm crying n instead of u ok or we can take second n it may be uncomfortable we can take a sec, nope she say sorry. N I understand she has a job to do but b more compassionate with patients so then that's done so then I wipe my tears and she gets up and says that she has to give me an injection which is okay cuz she had told me that ahead of time that It might have to happen then she comes in and she's telling me the name or said the the name before she went an got the injection so she doin wat she needs to with the injection an turns to put it in my iv I said b4 she could are there any side effects she says well everybody is different I know that but I would still like to know what the side effects are I don't even know what kind of stuff you're putting in me you just give me a name I'm not a doctor and I'm not a nurse and not explaining it to me just what it does so we get through that part we're done with the test she says okay you're done you can clean yourself off with the gown and the blanket I was dumbfounded and I was like to myself really and then she's standing there she's like you can get dressed and I'm like well I have a monitor to be put on an she's like oh you do ugh if u would read the paper work it said it on there and then I didn't know what to do because she's not being informational about anything so I'm sitting there and not getting dressed because idk if they need me in the gown or not then she's turns around n is like we'll do u need me to leave the room to get dressed i said no but idk if I'm supposed wait to get dressed or not,she turns around an says thats why I said to clean yourself off with the gown n blanket WOW ok. So she calls for them to come put the monitor on walks out the room they come in and get the monitor on so I go to the waiting room I go to put my sweater and stuff on to leave so I'm telling my husband what the girl just told me about the cleaning myself with the gown an blanket when I've had ultrasounds before and they've had wipes paper towels or towels to wipe yourself off and then I was telling him other stuff well there was only one person in the room (an it wasnt a patient)and overheard me say that I am going to report her so I get a call not even 15 minutes after I'm walking out of that hospital I literally just walked in my house. the lady's frm the T.S had told me I was going to get an automated call from certain number for the review but instead get a phone call frm the hospital number and a person (mind u i know they call in person sometimesbut this was just to fast)and I know they put the person up or it was the person that I was going to make a report on because as soon as they try to hang up they didn't hang up in time and I heard them turn around and say well she is saying this and then the phone went dead.. an i never got the automated phone call ...so for the Echo department i give a 2 If that.

I been in rehab the last two weeks. Im 26 so was quite younger than most patients in rehab. Nurse mayra was rude to me and my family. She never answered my call lights when she was my nurse and other nurses would always answer for her. She wouldn't help me transfer my second day there while she was in the room with me and sent a aide to help me instead just bc she didn't feel like helping me. She had to rub a medical ointment on my feet knowing I have neuropathy and have extreme pain in my feet. She's the only nurse who rubbed the ointment aggressively and dug her thumbs into my feet to the point I was balling my eyes out in pain and she just yelled at me to relax! Soon as the social worker walked passed and saw me crying she asked me what's wrong and came into the room than that's when the nurse rubbed my feet normally and not aggressive. She did it in front of my parents. The next day she rubbed the ointment onto my feet the exact same way, obviously intentionally trying to cause me pain; so I never allowed another nurse to put the ointment on my feet again. She treated me so badly I could only imagine how she treats the elderly patients who is also in that rehab. She is nice with her coworkers when I seen them in the halls. But rude once she's in the room with patients. She was rude to my family who came to visit me and my sister who also works at the hospital. Other than my bad experience with someone who obviously gots internal issues within herself I had a good experience with the rest of the staff. The occupational therapist Quinn is AMAZINGG!! She is beautiful inside and out. She pushes u to work hard while being incredibly nice the entire time. Some people should take notes from her! I will be better in no time thanks to the staff at this hospital and am so grateful for them Except mayra !

I cannot say enough good things about my experiences in the acute rehab unit at Saint Catherine Hospital in East Chicago. The nurses were kind and very thorough. The nurse aids were mostly nursing students and eager to learn. The PT's and OT's were excellent and help me learn to walk again. The food was always warm.

The emergency room is a JOKE! My mother was in excruciating pain and they made her wait like she was waiting on a ride at Great America! The registration non minority lady had a bad attitude and the triage process was mediocre at best! I can't stand Power Health hospitals!
