I have some doctors on the 3rd floor of the old hospital, with handicap parking outside the door! This is VERY convenient. I live in Glen Ellyn, so it is a bit of a drive, but on the very safe Geneva Rd. so I don't mind it. VERY convenient that all the Duly doctors are inside this one door/lobby. I like the convenience. Dr. Schmidt is prompt and thorough.
Dr Schmidt saved my life in 2011. Been taking care of me ever since. Great doctor. My only complaint is wait times to see him
He was pretty rude to me. I had a major cardiac event in 2023 and have been following up with a cardiologist every 6 months since then per their instructions. I got new insurance since the last time I saw my old cardiologist so I needed a new one, and I scheduled my usual 6 month follow up with Dr. Schmidt. He kept asking me why I was there and what I needed from him and what the issue was, and I said multiple times that I didn't need to be there I kept explaining that I was just following up every 6 months as I have been for nearly 3 years now.
Fantastic cardiologist! Answered my concerns and I didn't feel rushed. I would say to arrive to CDH (if this is the location you are going to) 30 minutes early. It is very difficult to find the office if you aren't familiar with this hospital campus and it is even more difficult to reach a human being for help.
I normally wait a very short time to see my Dr. Last appointment the wait was an Hour. I have been with Dr Schmidt for many years, and appreciate his care over the years
