The NP Biederman provides great service. During our first appointment, despite the fact that I was outwardly upset for the appointment center incorrectly setting up my appointment, she was patient with me. In my follow up appointment, she was very clear and expedient She provides far superior service than Dr. Villanueva.

This was the worst experience that I had at Duly. I wasn't feeling well, I had the worst headache. The nurse asked if I had the flu while she went over my list of medicines. She put the clip on my finger and asked if the weight listed in the system correct. She left and the doctor entered, I explained why I made the appointment and stayed that the symptoms had eased due to going to physical therapy. He pulled my fingers, lifted my arms, read my file (not thoroughly), and stated that He didn't think that I had arthritis. Well now according to Dr. Majka and the X-rays, she took a few years ago, I'm in the early stages. The X-ray show the arthritis in my knees. He continues to talk and I asked if the nurse could take my blood pressure. She comes back into the office, takes my blood pressure and with a horrific look on her face says that my BP is 140/100 and asks if I've ever had high blood pressure. She leaves to get a digital BP cuff to take another reading and it reads 130/100. She says that she this is serious and she has to talk to the doctor to find out what he wants to do. The doctor returns to the room, grabbed his jacket as if it was his security blanket and says you need to go to the emergency room, or urgent care, or see your doctor because this needs to be addressed. It's at this point that I thought that he was going to call the emergency room to have someone come get me, but no he walks out of the office and sits down behind a desk. I drove from Winfield to Wheaton with a BP of 140/100 and could have possibly had a stroke while driving and all he had to say was I need to get to someplace other than his office space. The nerve of him. I hear stories of women being ignored by doctors but I never on e thought that I would experience it at Duly. Please believe that I have shared my experience with this doctor on social media, and with family and friends. The medical board needs to here about this as well.

Although getting around the outpatient area at CDH is overwhelming, I suggest calling ahead and getting detailed directions parking including elevators etc ask desk if nevesssary. For suite 300-310 the best way is pass ER inpatient keep going until you see the next parking garage. That is outpatient where Dr offices are. Go all the way to the top of garage and park. The door if facing the building is the one on left. Go up a few stairs or use ramp. The suite for cardio rheumo etc is right there. My doctors are amazing. I saw both cardio and rheumatology. While corporate umbrella like healthcare has made it difficult for doctors and patients a like these doctors somehow find a way of making you feel like old school medicine has hope. The biggest compliment is for the doctors and staff pulling through the stress of this new world or medicine being a financial & insurance struggle for bottom line. Marketing try's to tell you otherwise but I've been with the same doctors since I was a baby following them through all the changes. The benefits to corporate umbrella (Duly Medical) is the resources they provide the overall administrative work to relieve doctors of paperwork processes. It's just I miss the days where I didn't need to make so many Dr appts for each part of my body. It's a full time job for someone who is unwell and it's overwhelming to a primary care managing it who is most likely overloaded with patients. It's a pros and cons list but it's just how all medical is done now. Duly is on its game has resources and the doctors and staff are great.

Duly has excellent doctors and staff. I sometimes have a short wait. The doctor usually explains or apologizes if I do. Understanding and compassionate care is always given.

Dr.Schmidt is an excellent cardiologist. He is always upbeat, caring and has managed my cardiac care well. He is thorough, ordering tests when needed and explaining results in a language I can understand. What better compliment can I give than to say I trust him with my heart.
