I was notified today that my cardiologist was leaving this group. I called the number provided in the notice to make arrangements for moving to a new doctor within the group. I was placed on hold, and then waited, literally, sixty minutes for someone to pick up my call. After an hour of hold music, I hung up. There are a number of other doctors in this group who aren't leaving, and I can only assume that their patients got the same treatment as me, except that their business might have been more pressing than just switching doctors. I really cannot see how this is an acceptable way to run a medical practice, especially when the office had more than month to prepare for the disruption this announcement would create. I had a major heart attack four months ago, which was treated at BJC Memorial. And, while the initial intervention was excellent and probably saved my life, the followup care has not been as good. It took months for the hospital to eventually contact me about cardiac rehabilitation. By the time they did, my personal program of exercise had gone beyond what rehab would have provided. And, my now-former cardiologist's patient load was so high that the earliest available date for my three-month followup with him was nearly five months after my heart attack. Now, I'm faced with the prospect of transitioning to a new cardiologist. I'm not a doctor, but that doesn't seem like very good followup care to me.

I had a Transthoracic Echo done this morning by Julie at the Shiloh location. She is very professional and has a great personality and sense of humor. She made me feel quite comfortable and was excellent at explaining things throughout the process. Thank you Julie for making it a pleasant experience.

No one will answer the phone when you call. I've called 3 different times and was on hold for 30 minutes each time with no one answering so had to hang up. Awful

Patient

No one answers the phone there. Good luck getting in. Better to call Barnes hospital
