Dr. Rukayat Otulana, MD She is my husband new Dr and we just love her My husband finally....... agreed to a colon test because of herMy husband said she is able "TO PAINT A CLEAR PICTURE OF HIS EVERY CONCERN....." Plus, he said she shows him images to explain "STEP BY STEP" his every situation at a pace that he can process, understand & communicate. ( First time in 20 years he's been able to repeat what the Dr explained especially being his first visit w/o me.) He said: HE KNOWS IN HIS SPIRIT THAT SHE GENUINELY CARES ABOUT "PEOPLE....." & HE WOULD PUT HIS LIFE IN HER HANDS OVER ANYONE..... Thank you Dr. Otulana for your care of my husband.....

It's a 50/50 chance if you receive good care here. I've gotten exceptional care and also horrible care. I give two stars because lately it seems to be the latter. My boyfriend was brought in after a motor vehicle accident which totaled the vehicle. At the time, his back and leg were in excruciating pain as he sat in the waiting room for 2 hours. He said the xray techs were rough and careless. The doc said nothing was wrong...go home and take a muscle relaxer. He needed much more...when asked if he could get something for pain at home, they denied a pain reliever and said maybe go to his primary and they will help...his primary is 2 hours away with no vehicle. So they gave him a Norco on the way out the door and he said he couldn't walk....he AT LEAST needed crutches. They provided that. It just seemed like MVAs were not a priority. Do xrays, no further CTs, send you on your way with a pain med out the door. They also did this to me with leg pain and watched me walk out holding onto the walls...I cried so hard at the mistreatment. They usually seem rushed and for me personally, do the bare minimum and treat me like a hyperchondriac because of my chronic health issues or new concerns. I travel 40 minutes to Dekalb if I am able so just know if you see me in a Rockford ER I wasn't given the choice to travel due to time purposes. Reevaluate please (do better).

The provider really took the time to figure out what was going on with me from the symptoms I was having. She explained the treatment and made sure I did not have any questions or concerns. She was very knowledgeable and caring. I felt very cared for and had all of her attention while she was treating me. My nurse was very compassionate as well, she joked with me when she could tell I needed it, she was thorough and professional when she needed to be. It was a very good experience all around.

i can to the er with severe pain in my lower back i could not walk i could not put pressure on my tailbone at all! i arrived at 12 pm and was not taken back until 1pm and i was shoved in this room with no sheets on this what looks like a freaking dr office. i had a previous slip disk from last year and am i no groomer and the pain started when i lifted a dog. they put me in that room and left me in there for an hour and half before bringing me storids and a shot in my hip then left me in there again made me xray in severe pain and did not check on me until i had my boyfriend go out and get pain meds because i was hurting so bad my pain was told it was an 8 at check in. they did not care. the dr if that was what she was came in gave me a norco then made me move around and try to walk while im in tears then told me she would be right back and told me to keep walking with no support she would be right back she did not come back for almost an hour. she then discharged me didn't send me home with ANY pain meds and didn't know what was wrong with me. sent me home with steroids when i questioned why i wasn't given an mri she proceeded to tell me that she couldn't give me narcotics. what a unbelievable hospital! i'm at mercy hospital now getting a mri because i lost control of my bladder. shame on this hospital and its staff for treating my like crap for and leaving me in severe pain for over 6 hours! i will never go back or recommend anyone to go there!!!

This is my 4th yr of my father's passing and Im leaving another review. So far ive not had 1 response about what im going to say. On December 10th 2021 my farther was in your care. The night before he passed away I went in to see him. His door was wide open and he was naked, no sheets or even chux was under him. He urinated all over himself and on the floor. His arms were strapped to the rails so he couldn't ring for assistance. I went to the nurses desk and told them what happened. I was told when your nurse is done he or she will assist u. That took 45 mins! Why couldn't one of the 4 or 5 people standing there help me. I asked several times and was told wait in his room. The worst came at 5 am December 10th. I was told my father was not responding and I needed to get to the hospital. When I arrived my father had passed away. It was like a repeat of the night before he was naked no blanket door wide open. The nurse walked in and said he just passed away. My wife is a nurse of 40 yrs. She felt my father and said hes cold and regamortis has set in. That takes 2 to 4 hrs before it starts. The nurse walked away. We waited 15 mins before they covered him with a blanket. Its very upsetting he passed away but worse to see him like that. My father's care should have been better. They tried to lie. That showed me they were not looking in or monitoring him otherwise they would have known he passed away. He had passed away a min of 2 hrs before we arrived. In that time no one had checked on him. What a memory I have of seeing my father like that. His grandchildren were with us. Shame on St Anthony hospital for not having a better care plan in place to hold nurses responsible for the lack of care. Feel free to respond if you want to but like the previous yrs im sure you will remove this from the web page. Del Kosyla Hampshire IL
