Dr. Shpigel saved my husband's life. He pushed things along and works closely with the amazing Dr. Baker in the surgery dept. We learned my husband is in CHF, and had an aortic aneurysm that went from 3.5cm to 6cm in less than 4 weeks, he was carefully monitored and they got him to the operating table while the cardiologists at Mercy were still trying to get him an appointment after 6 weeks--He would never have survived waiting on Mercy's timeline. We've seen Dr. Shpigel almost every month since surgery day as hubby's condition is extreme, but he is compassionate and personable, and understands time is of the essence. We recommend him Highly. Without him and his experience, my husband would not be alive today. Ruth on his staff is also amazing, she is one of the receptionists and anytime we had issues at home after surgery, she would immediately get the messages to the dr. There was an extremely tight timeframe, and she worked diligently to get us in for echos and heart cath appts that helped us get data before and after surgery.
