HSHS Medical Group Family and Internal Medicine Maryville

I had to call this office today for my girlfriend I was transferred to a woman by the name of Jennifer, when I got out the phone with Jennifer she tried over talking me, tried telling me what was going on with her before reading any notes! When I finally told her the right steps her response was idk what you want us to do very rudely, but I thought this was her doctor and they were supposed to help! I told her that uncalled for and very smart. She respond by yelling my name because I told her about herself! If she can't fake it to make maybe this job isn't for her!

I am looking to switch Doctor's. It always takes 5+ minutes for them to answer the phone and I've waited as long as 40 minutes. Front desk staff is rude. I was trying to get seen for ADHD and the front desk girl said "why don't you see a psychiatrist, that's what most people do." They tell you they will check on something and call back and never do. I feel like there's always issues with paperwork like orders and pre authorization. If you want to get an appointment expect it to be a month out. While at an appointment I had a concern regarding my mental health and was told by the MA that I had to make a separate appointment for that. Your care does not seem like a priority to them. I had a CT done with the results uploaded on MyChart the day after and wasn't called until a week later.

I've been dealing with a reoccurring problem with this office for over 2 years now. No one ever answers the phone! It's a half hour minimum to get anyone to answer. Either it's a front desk person problem, phones don't work from reading the other reviews or they're extremely understaffed. Either way not my problem and I'll be looking for a new office soon. Once I can actually get to my doctor she's great though. Dr. Shirley

I moved back to the area 2 years ago with numerous medical issues. I went to quite a few new patient appts with dr's in the area accepting new patients. One of them I sat in waiting room 3 hrs and in exam room 2 more hrs, it was almost 6pm from a 1pm appt! I got in very quickly with this office and will never have to look for dr again. Amanda Kilzer FNP is everything a person wants/needs in a primary care physician. She cares about her patients, goes over everything and listens. I have seen Dr Malcherik once and felt very comfortable and assured with him that I would receive the best medical attention. Office staff and phlebotomist are great! Everyone is very personable and does everything they can to help each patient. Also I have never waited over 15-20 minutes in waiting room at most. I am very very thankful to have these professionals for my medical needs. You may have to hold 10-15 minutes when calling but well worth the wait!
